Palestine is known for its’ liquor, Arak, which has a strong aniseed flavor. For those who have not tasted or witnessed someone drinking Arak before, it is

quite magical.

When water or ice is added, the liquor magically changes from clear to a translucent milky fog.  When thinking about magic and the Middle East, I thought about the mystical Djinn and the concept of finding his lamp. The bottle is the shape of what would be the

Djinn’s lamp.

The name Relic as well as the crate that holds the bottle is used to show the mystery of finding an old priceless artifact. The frosted glass acts as the translucent milky fog while outlining the Arabic pattern, creating an almost velvety feel.
